The Riverside Discovery Center’s mission is “to foster an understanding and appreciation of our place in the world through the discovery of the natural work.” To do this, the board of directors came to Studio 120 Architecture to help them with the design of a premier learning facility for all ages, focusing on conservation, education, and discovery of the natural world.

The 17,500 SF facility will house a natural history museum as well as classrooms, a theater, concession stand, gift shop, administrative offices, public restrooms, and a large foyer to facilitate the assembly of large groups. This is an exciting opportunity to design an educational facitliy that will serve as a unique multipurpose venue for conventions, meetings, and special events.
